Beginning Quilting is the starting point for those that want to learn the art of quilt piecing. You will learn the basics of using a rotary cutter & ruler, squaring up fabrics, 1/4 inch seams, and pressing. You will be making the quilt top Two for a Quarter and you will be impressed with your creative side! Class is two sessions.

Log Cabin Star is a pattern from Kansas Troubles that finishes 44” x 44” and makes a great wall quilt, couch quilt or a table topper.

The Big Stitch is for those of you that get frustrated with hand quilting but yet want to quilt your own quilts. This stitch is very forgiving and gives your quilts a handcrafted look. I think I will even like to do this technique! You can bring a project you want to work on or practice on
a quilt sandwich traced with a quilt design.

Hand Quilting

Dutch Treat is one of my favorite designer’s Monique Dillard. The fabric on the pattern cover is called Williamsburg and we just happened to have this collection. Kids Can Sew Classes

Locker Pocket just in time for the school year. Create a 3 pocket holder from an old pair of jeans. You will use decorative stitches and embroider your initial to add detail.

Fun Size Purse just the right size for the young adult to start carrying her every day items in to school or events.

Classroom guidelines: Kids classes are limited to 6-8 kids per session so we can help each one in a timely manner. Your consideration in signing up ahead of class will allow us to run the class time as scheduled and have the appropriate amount of staff on hand for the class size. Please register at least 1 week in advance. If someone comes to class without signing up we may have to turn them away and we would hate to have your child be disappointed. Your response to hand embroidery has been overwhelming. With that in mind we have added a complete line of floss, patterns, towels, aprons, and pillowcases. We want to create a meeting place for you to share your techniques and projects with each other. This is our way of making QW your home away from home. Mystery at the Corner
If you love to play the game clue, then you should plan to join us! We will give you clues each month for 6 months as you try to solve the quilt block mystery. Here is how it will work. You can do this Mystery two ways. Play by mail or attend the mystery sewing night at the store each month. You must sign up and have your fabrics by August 14th to be part of Mystery at the Corner. You will be mailed your mystery instructions the 20th of each month, if playing by mail. The quilt will finish 70” x 98” a generous twin size and uses only 4 fabrics. Kits will be available or you may choose to come to the store and pick out initial fabrics. Kits by mail will be at the stores discretion. We promise to send you a pleasing combination of fabrics. Kit includes: Fabric for the top, borders & binding.
Approximate yardage 10.25 or $92.15.

Sit and Sew
Gather your girlfriends and use our classroom to work on your projects or sew on a project you started with us during a class and want to finish it up! Scheduled two Mondays a month. See Calendar for dates and times over the next 3 months. Generally we try to have them on the 2nd and 4th Mondays but have had things to plan around for this newsletter. See Calendar for
dates on Sit and Sew.


What is Fun Night Out?
We consider it a girls night out to treat ourselves. Noting that we have closed down main street New Hampton after the bar turned in for the night. Come in comfy clothes and sew on your own projects until the night ends. Take this time to start or finish those UFO’s with a group of people enjoying friendship and laughter. Sewing night begins at 5 pm and goes until.....????? Please register ahead of time so we can plan accordingly.
Dates: August 23rd at 5pm.
September-no Fun Night, join us for the Strip n’ Stitch Bus Trip.
Starting in October we will have Fun Night on the 3rd Saturday night of each month.

Pfaff Machine Classes
Creative Class 1 - Learn about your sewing machine. You will have an introduction to the basics of your PFAFF machine. Sewing techniques, accessories, cleaning and maintenance,
threading, bobbin winding and stitch selection.

Creative Class 2 - An introduction to the next steps in learning what your machine can do for you. Learn what stitches your machine has to offer, gathering, satin stitch, appliqué, blind hem, twin needle sewing and start to use free motion sewing to do quilting on your home sewing machine.

Creative Class 3 - You learn to sequence stitch selections, use more of your stitch options and put them to use. Decorative threads, button sew-on feature and other sewing techniques.

Creative Class 4 - For embroidery machines. You will practice how to set up your machine, hoop fabrics, placement of designs, transfer designs from your computer to your sewing machine. Learn which stabilizers to use with specific projects and best needles and threads to use with your PFAFF machine.

Creative Smart & Hobby Machine Classes - Learn the features that come with your machine, how to choose stitches cleaning your machine, changing the needle, winding a bobbin. You will leave knowing what your machine can do for you. Scheduled individually.

Classes FREE with the purchase of a PFAFF Sewing Machine at Quilter’s Window. Already own a PFAFF machine? You can attend too! Class Fee $30 each.
