A Simpler Time

A Simpler Time...this past weekend was spent with my sisters families and parents. We went to the Steamboat house in DeSoto, WI located along Great River Road with a view of the Mississippi. Do you remember a time when families spent time playing games and enjoying each others company? We did just that. This will be a weekend I will remember for a lifetime. Take time with your family and go back to a Simpler Time in life and Enjoy.

A windy day but we got in our picnic lunch. With strong winds and a bit of rain during the week we missed the great color of the season by a week. The apples are great tasting! I tried one that I never had before called Ambrosia, if you like a sweet-hard-crisp eating apple this is a keeper. Afraid the bag won't last long!

A breath taking view of the Mississippi from Mt. Hosmer Park. This bridge takes you to the WI side of the Mississippi and you can continue your travels down or up Great River Road.
Saturday Night we topped off our stay with a treat!
Dinner at the "Great River Road House" they have pizza you'll want to go back for. Needless to say our weekend didn't last as long as we would have liked, but we enjoyed every moment of family time.
